Ages (6 Weeks – 12 Months)

Ages (12 – 24 Months)
Our Toddler Program is designed for children who are beginning to explore the world with curiosity, energy, and growing independence. At this stage, children are learning to walk, talk, and interact—and we provide a safe, structured environment that encourages all of it.
Through guided play and hands-on activities, toddlers begin developing language skills, social awareness, and confidence. Our teachers gently guide children as they learn to follow simple routines, make choices, and interact with others in positive ways.

Our NC Pre-K Program is designed to fully prepare children for a confident and successful transition into kindergarten. We follow state guidelines while creating a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Children build school-readiness skills across all key areas, including early academics, communication, problem-solving, social development, and independence. Through daily routines and guided learning, children become comfortable participating in a classroom setting.
We place a strong emphasis on confidence, responsibility, and readiness—helping each child feel prepared, capable, and excited for the next step in their educational journey.
By the time children leave our Pre-K program, they are not only ready for kindergarten—they are confident and eager to succeed.
Ages (24 – 36 Months)
The two-year-old stage is full of personality, curiosity, and rapid development. Our program is designed to guide children through this exciting time with patience, structure, and encouragement.
At this age, children are learning to communicate more clearly, express emotions, and develop independence. We help them build these skills through engaging activities, consistent routines, and positive guidance.

Our School-Age Program provides reliable before- and after-school care, along with full-day care during school breaks, holidays, and summer. Our program is designed to give school-age children a balance of learning, recreation, and social interaction after the school day ends. Staff members encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and positive friendships while supporting each child’s academic progress.

Private tutoring sessions are available on weekends for families seeking additional academic support for their children. These sessions focus on strengthening foundational skills in reading, mathematics, homework support, and confidence building.
Please note that tutoring services are offered independently and are not part of the Burns Child Care program, though sessions may take place at the facility for convenience.
